Across the 2000s, matchless independent artist Sufjan Stevens created ten volumes of beautiful, quirky and compelling Christmas Songs that have become modern Christmas classics.  The Sufjan Songs for Christmas team  selected songs ranging from the beautiful Sleigh in the Moon  to the iconic Christmas Unicorn to present at Morecambe’s iconic and newly refurbished Winter Gardens. 
 

In 2025 we were excited to explore festive familial possibilities further with More Music who have supported the project ever since our first concert in 2014.

 

More Music’s Bay Youth Voices, Sing it Out, and Stages received mini-commissions and performed in the concert with the SSSC band and choir.

The show featured the spirited Dot Crotchet and the Raging Harmonies choir and a glowing throng of lead singers, as well as the traditional instant songwriting with the audience, a Christmas carol pass-the-parcel and Sufjan readings.
